We met Via at Edmonton's best wedding show, Local Love. This is one of our favorite shows because the people that we meet there are always awesome! We don't give away many portrait sessions, only for very special events like Local Love. Luckily this couple was at the right place at the right time and had just the right amount of luck to have their name drawn for a free engagement photo shoot! When we first started planning Via and George wanted to have their photos take in their all time favorite Edmonton hang out - Lock Stock coffee a.k.a. Red Star. They chose this location because it is their favorite place to go for dates. I loved it! When couples chose a location that is special to them it adds a special connection to the photos. So from the moment I connected with Via and George I knew it was going to be a good time. It got even better when they asked if they could bring along their dog, Bau...a pug! Let me just tell you, there has never been a pug we didn't like. It still reigns true because Bau was just as adorable as we expected. The amount of love the Via and George had for Bau seemed equal to their love for each other, which is understandable haha. So for the photos with their pug we headed on over to my favorite street on Jasper Ave, 104 st, for the trendy downtown vibes. I love the modern yet old feel of this area and have always wanted to photograph a couple here. This was the perfect opportunity! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that these two are going to be getting married in Costa Rica. I am so excited for you two. Thanks for trusting me to capture your engagement session in Edmonton.
