This past week we spent around 40 hours filming Vincky and Sumeets action packed Hindu wedding. In between the hours of filming we worked on creating this edited video to play at their reception. The week started with the grooms, Sumeet, Sangeet at Leefield Community hall in South Edmonton. The ladies sang, partied late, and enjoyed delicious food. The next event was Vincky's (the bride) ladies Sangeet - where Sumeet and his family joined in. The event was held at the Aria Banquet Hall. There was awesome performances, a pasta bar, singing, and the dance floor was full. The next day was the Brides Mendhi. The Bridal Mendhi was done by Kundan Mendhi and the Bridal Party was created by The Henna House. The Bridal Mendhi was filled beautiful artistry and adorable secret messages like a portrait of the bride and groom and the story of how they met. The Maiyan ceremonies are always a lot of fun. For Vincky and Sumeet their Maiyan ceremonies happened the day before the wedding. This ceremony consists of a few different parts but the main part is when friends and family smudge a tumeric paste all over the bride or groom. It's fun, hilarious, and beautiful all at the same time.
Onto to the wedding. The day started early (as usual). Vincky relaxed while Sunita from Sen Studios did her hair and Make-Up. After everyone was ready it was time to head over to Nanaksar Gurwara for a traditional Milni and the wedding ceremony. It was the perfect romantic ceremony. After the ceremony the bride, groom, and the wedding party all adventured to the University Of Alberta. That is where this video ends. Visit back in the months to come to see the full highlight video which include the reception!
