We've got an amazing story to share with you from one of our recent shoots – a beautiful Chinese wedding in Edmonton, Alberta. Grab your coffee (or tea), and let's dive into the Chinese wedding celebrations in Edmonton's finest industrial glam venues for the marriage of S & W.
The excitement kicked off with vibrant Chinese wedding traditions. The groom and his gang were up for a challenge during the door games – hilarious tasks to prove his worthiness to enter the bride's home. Laughter echoed through the air as they tackled each challenge with gusto, proving that friendships and fun were at the heart of this celebration.
Next up was the tea ceremony – a meaningful and intimate affair. The couple paid their respects to their elders, serving them tea as a gesture of gratitude and love. We couldn't help but be moved by the genuine warmth and wisdom exchanged during this cherished tradition.
Once the traditions were done, it was time for a wardrobe change! The bride and groom slipped into their stunning wedding attire, blending classic elements with modern flair. The wedding ceremony took place at the elegant Timms Center for the Arts. The venue's grandeur added a touch of sophistication to the occasion. We had a field day capturing the couple's heartfelt vows and the emotional moments shared with their loved ones.
After the ceremony, we explored every nook and cranny of the Timms Center for some creative shots. The architecture and aesthetics of the place provided the perfect backdrop for a diverse range of images, from tender embraces to playful moments. Our next destination was the picturesque University of Alberta. The couple, surrounded by lush greenery and charming buildings, looked absolutely enchanting. We then made our way to the serene Chinese gardens at Louise McKinney Park. The natural beauty of the surroundings lent an air of tranquillity to the pictures. The wedding party joined in the fun, creating a lively atmosphere, and we couldn't stop clicking away.
Finally, we embarked on a drive to Fort Saskatchewan for the reception at the Foundry Room. Oh boy, what a venue! The industrial glam ambiance, abundant natural light, and rooftop views were a photographer's dream. And let's not forget the food – utterly delicious, and the décor was absolutely gorgeous!
As the evening progressed, we captured candid moments of toasts, dancing, and genuine celebration. Love and laughter filled the air, and we were so fortunate to witness it all through our lenses.
And what a day it was weather-wise! The sun was shining, the skies were blue, and the surroundings were lush and green. It was the perfect setting for a wedding celebration, and Mother Nature seemed to be in on the magic.
All in all, this wedding in Edmonton was an incredible experience. We felt privileged to be a part of this journey and capture the love, joy, and tradition that filled the day.
