Today, I want to share with you one of the coolest photoshoots I've had the pleasure of being a part of, photographing Jaces' cool nature inspired full leg sleeve tattoos by Casper at Showdown Tattoos. Jace, the man with some seriously amazing full-sleeve leg tattoos, hired us to capture his inked masterpieces. And let me tell you; it was a blast from start to finish.
Jace's tattoos are awesome! Featuring a mix of flowers and birds, they are a true work of art. All credit goes to the talented Casper at Showdown Tattoos, who put in a staggering 74 hours to create these incredible pieces - kudos to Jace for sitting for those hours too!
We decided to shoot at the Art Gallery of Alberta to kick things off. The gallery's artistic and neutral setting provided the perfect backdrop to showcase the intricate details of Jace's tattoos. It was like the ink came alive against the backdrop of the art world. But we didn't stop there! We wanted to add a little urban vibe to the mix. So, we hit the streets of downtown Edmonton, capturing the essence of Jace's tattoos amidst the city's hustle and bustle. It was a fantastic contrast that brought a unique perspective to the photos.
Jace's confidence and ease in front of the camera made my job a breeze throughout the shoot. He knew exactly how to flaunt those tattoos and bring out their best. The camera just loved him! Beyond the photography, spending time with Jace , and his partner Jordon, was a real treat. He's one of the most down-to-earth and fun people you'll meet. We exchanged stories, had a few laughs, and it felt like hanging out with an old friend. P.s. keep your eyes out for portraits of the two of them - coming soon!
