Jas and Mannat - Edmonton Sikh Wedding Film
I spent this past week working with Mannat and Jas on their amazing wedding film. We started by filming parent interview which we featured in the film and it was a great way to get to know the family. After that it was onto the Pre-Wedding Events starting with Mehndi at Mannat's house. I always love capturing those beautiful Mehndi shots. The sangeet night was next at Old Timer's Cabin in Edmonton. It's a totally beautiful veunue and really was a unique look for a Sangeet. I've never done a Pre-Wedding event at the Old Timers Cabin before. We had the Mayian and Choora next. I, Zac, filmed the events at Mannat's house and Monikah made her way to Jas' house for his Mayian and Jagoo. It was an early start the next day for the wedding events which where held at the Nanaksar Gurdwara. I always love filming weddings at the Nanaksar Gurdwara because it really feels like we've left Canada and travelled to India. After a beautiful wedding ceremony we took photos in Rainbow Valley Park and finished off the night with door games. It was a romantic week but it wasn't quite finished yet. The reception was held at the River Cree Mariott where Mannat and Jas partied into the wee hours of the morning.
This was my first time doing a Feature Film as the Same Week Edit. It's a bit longer then a normal Same Week Edit and it features interviews from the parents, bride, and groom. I was a little nervous going into this film but it turned out even better then I expected. Please check out this amazing wedding film.
